What is a car service?
A car valet is a vehicle inspection that ensures your car is in a safe, effective, and dependable condition in line with the guidelines defined by the vehicle manufacturer. The vehicle manufacturer produced a service schedule, which recommends checks needed and replacement parts required.
Car servicing proactively ensures your car is maintained in order to minimise the risk of breakdowns, prevent the need for repairs, and maintain your vehicle’s value.
When should my car be serviced?
Vehicles should generally receive a full service either every 12 months or each time it reaches approximately 12,000 miles, depending on which event happens first.
To see when your car service is due, check your vehicle logbook and find when your vehicle last received a servicing stamp. In your vehicle’s handbook, the manufacturer of your vehicle will recommend suitable time intervals or the number of miles your car can travel before a check-up is required.
General car servicing can also ensure your vehicle is operating to its optimum performance levels and can identify any potential problems in advance, reducing the risk of costly repairs in the future.
